The Honorable Commissioner for Small, Medium Enterprises and New Businesses Development, Abia State, Hon. Adaku Uwaoma Onusiriuka Oseiza has charged members of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Abia State Chapter to synergize with the programmes of the Ministry while assuring to assist them in any way she can to ensure entrepreneurial growth and good productive enhancement in Abia State.
Hon. Adaku stated this while receiving members of AFAN Abia State Chapter in her office, at the Abia Investment House Umuahia.
Hon. Adaku also encouraged them to harmonize with Aba Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) and promised to include them in the various opportunities from the Ministry.
While speaking, the State Chairman of the Association, John Babington Chibunna (PhD) applauded the Honorable Commissioner for her giant strides in the SME sector of the State adding that they came to familiarize with the Ministry and intimate her on their upcoming events, AFAN World Day/General Assembling of Farmers in Abia State which will be holding on the 10th and 11th of November, 2022. He further requested the Ministry to give them a resource person who is to talk to farmers about SMEs. The Chairman also noted that they have the potentials, the capacity in Agro – Businesses and other value Chain link to work with the Government of Abia State to create food sufficiency.
In a vote of thanks, Mr. Ndudim Ikelua, the State Secretary of the Association expressed happiness for the warm welcome accorded to them and the opportunity to interact with the Honorable Commissioner whilst promising to go back and gather themselves to take every step outlined by the Ministry.
