Abia State Government says its zero tolerance for corruption and godfatherism in the public Service is not negotiable.

Addressing Staff during her official maiden visit to Umuahia Capital Development Authority and Abia State Estate Development Agency(ABSEDA), the Acting Head of Service, Lady Joy Maduka at present with her is the Acting General Manager Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA) Mrs. Chinyere Kanno and Director in Charge Abia State Estate Development Agency(ABSEDA) Mr. Christian ELUWA.
she stated categorically that the era of sacred cow in the Service is gone, as Government would not hesitate to deal with any Civil/ Public Servant who violates the Public Service Rules and Regulations.

Lady Maduka re-affirmed the willingness of the Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti to address the plight of the workers and charged them to brace up to the challenges before them.
Encouraging the staff to work well due to they don’t know what level their dedication might take them to,using herself as a yardstick.

Mrs.Chinyere Kanno The Acting General Manager Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA), who appreciated Governor Otti, for the appointment of Lady Joy Maduka as Acting Head of Service maintained that the appointments of Women in positions of authority in the State were manifestations of Governor Otti’s readiness to fulfill the 35% (thirty five percent) National Policy quota affirmative action on Women,and also appreciated the Acting Head of Service for her visit and promise that both she and her staff will work to the betterment of Organization and Abia state in general.
