Concerned Abia pensioners on Thursday staged a solidarity walk in Umuahia to commend Governor Alex Otti for clearing all their pension arrears and making themthem to receive their monthly pension on time without stress.
The coordinator of the concerned pensioners, Chief Emeka Okezie told Vision Africa Radio that Otti did what the immediate past governor of Abia State failed to do after making several promises.
The pensioners walking around Umuahia town wore white and white and chanted songs.
Chief Okezie expressed his happiness for the state government, which made it possible for them to receive monthly pensions alongside civil servants. He prayed to God that the Governor would source funds to settle their gratuity.
