The Abia state Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR has invited some prominent Nigerians to join him in the commissioning of some roads recently reconstructed by his administration as part of activities marking his one year in office.
On Friday,the 24th May, 2024, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe,CFR,MNI , the Obi of Onitsha will commission the Old Court Road and Kent/ Ehi Road, in Aba .
On Tuesday,28th May,2024,His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu will commission University Road, College Road and Green Avenue , all in Aba.
Similarly, on Wednesday 29th May 2024, His Excellency, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe (rtd.) GCON, former Chief of General Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will commission Ossa Road in Umuahia .
The commissioning of the aforementioned roads by these prominent Nigerians is in keeping with Governor Alex Otti’s road infrastructure agenda for the development of Aba as the commercial nerve centre of the South East and Umuahia as a befitting capital city.
Through this medium, Traditional rulers, Town Union Leaders, the clergy, the business community, market leaders and artisans are cordially invited to the epoch making events. The time for the two commissioning ceremonies in Aba is 10:00am each day while that of Umuahia on Wednesday will be at 11:00am.
