Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Ujunwa Una and Chinelo Igbechionwu for conspiracy and child sales.
Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said the suspects were arrested by patrol officers from Ojodu Division stationed at Berger.
According to him, the newborns have been placed in the custody of a motherless baby’s home for proper care and medical evaluation.
He said investigation is ongoing to arrest other conspirators.
The Labour Party governorship candidate in Edo State, Olumide Akpata, has described his voting experience as “seamless”.
He, however, said that his wish is that every other voter in the state will have the same seamless experience as he did. Akpata cast his vote at Oredo Ward 6, Unit 11, beaming with smiles and giving thumbs up to the cheering crowd.
Akpata also expressed confidence in the process, saying that he is optimistic if the playing ground remained level until the end.
Former Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomole today dismissed allegation against the All Progressives Congress over alleged vote buying in the ongoing governorship election in the state.
Oshiomhole stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Iyamho, Ward 10 Unit 01 in Estako West Local Government Area of Edo.
The former governor who is also the senator representing Edo North Senatorial District of the state, said he had not received any report of violence from anywhere across the state.
He expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of the election across the state, while also commending the elderly ones for turning out to vote at the election
